Hellen Fungenerous Introduction

My company released a completely new software to replace the current, legacy software geared towards billing and accounting.
I was tasked with creating training that demonstrated key tasks and provided learners with the opportunity to practice in a low stakes environment.
This course focuses on creating and managing pledges in the software. It is one of 8 courses in the Cashier Accelerator Learning Path.
I was responsible for designing and developing each course in this project from beginning to end.

My Process
I wanted to recreate the set of the Ellen DeGeneres show as closely as possible, so I ended up building the background from scratch, rather than using a template. Inside Vyond, I was able to save and share this as a template for a “tv show” for later use.
Because Pledges typically involve customers who are experiencing difficulties in life, I felt that a talk show would be a very effective way to engage the learners while teaching them the process in the software.
After creating and templatizing the background and characters, I recorded all of the course script. Because there are three different characters, I edited the audio to create three distinct voices. Finally I added the audio and sound effects to each scene, downloaded the video, and added it to the project in Storyline 360.
