    • Use InDesign to create the workbook

    • Save as a template and share with the Learning and Development department.

  • This workbook template will be made available to all instructional designers within the Learning and Development department, streamlining project development and promoting consistency across departmental materials.

    1. Design and develop a template workbook

    2. Save template on shared department drive

    3. Utilize workbook for future workbook projects

My Process
  • Because this workbook would serve as a template, I focused on a streamlined design. I incorporated brand colors and bold, simplistic shapes to make a stronger visual impact.

  • To give the image depth, I played with shadow and light on the mountain peaks. These fairly simple tweaks took very little time but make the image more compelling.

  • Because I created the image from individual shapes, this image will be easily customizable for future projects that may require slightly different elements or design choices.

  • Rather than use generic images for the content pages, I created an image that directly referenced the main cover. Now each page has a stronger feeling of cohesion.

  • I created the content image out of individual shapes to make it more customizable. Because this workbook is a template, the shapes can be tailored to a projects specifications.
